Biography
Sister Marilyn Rose was born on Sept. 25, 1929. She died on Feb. 21, 2016. She was 86 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 67 years.
Sister Marilyn Rose entered the Congregation in 1949. She professed first vows on Aug. 15, 1951, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1956.
For several years, Sister Marilyn Rose ministered as a teacher in schools in Indiana and Illinois. From 1973 to 2002, she ministered at Midtown Comprehensive Mental Health Center in Indianapolis. She returned to the Motherhouse in 2004.
Sister Marilyn Rose – along with Sister Patty Fillenwarth – was the first co-leaders of the Congregation’s Anti-Racism Team.
