Biography
Sister Marie Grace was born and raised in Indianapolis. She was the second oldest child in her family, including two sisters and three brothers. Currently, she ministers in the Archives Department as a volunteer.
She attended Saint Patrick Grade School and graduated from Saint John Academy.
After working for a short time in Indianapolis, Sister Marie Grace entered the Congregation in 1951.
Her teaching ministry began teaching second graders, but later followed by teaching all elementary grades in schools in Indiana and Illinois for 49 years.
Sister Marie Grace said she was not ready for retirement at that point so she began tutoring children with dyslexia.
She enjoys reading, visiting the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, working crossword puzzles and “doing whatever interesting thing is happening here at Saint Mary’s.”
