Biography
Sister Marianne Mader was born on January 15, 1947, and was a native of Indianapolis. Her final ministry was as a consultant for the Congregation’s Archives Department.
Sister Marianne, formerly Sister Ann Eugene, entered the Congregation on August 30, 1967. She professed final vows on March 8, 1975.
She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She also has a master’s degree in liberal studies in library science from the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences, Dominican University, River Forest, Illinois.
Of her ministries, Sister Marianne has served as a teacher, medical librarian, library coordinator, medical information assistant, instructional assistant for computers and since 2006, has worked in archive research. The capstone of her work as a researcher came when she verified the credentials of Doctor Willem, a physician who treated Mary Theodosia Mug, whose healing lead to the canonization of Mother Theodore Guerin.
Sister Marianne said she enjoys listening to Peter Paul and Mary and broke her ankle going to one of their concerts. She also loves the Indianapolis 500, and grew up watching the race with her father.
