Sister Margaret Kelly

Sister Margaret, formerly Sister Bernard Maureen, was born on June 1, 1936. She died on Jan. 15, 2017. She was 80 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 59 years.

Sister Margaret entered the Congregation on Feb. 2, 1957.

She ministered as a teacher in primary grades, instructing students at schools in Indiana, North Carolina, Illinois and St. Louis. Her final teaching assignment took place Maternity BVM School in Chicago. In 2002, she began a ministry as the coordinator of the Chicago Providence Women.

Sister Margaret was known as a very private person.
