Biography
Sister Jane was born on March 10, 1919. She died on Nov. 28, 2006. She was 87 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 68 years.
Sister Jane entered the Congregation on Feb. 11, 1938. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1940 and 1946, respectively.
She began her teaching ministry in 1940 at St. Francis Xavier, Wilmette, Ill. She ministered at other schools in Illinois, as well as schools in California and Indiana. After her teaching ministry, Sister Jane served as the business officer for Providence Retirement Home, New Albany, Ind. She returned to the Woods in 1984 and ministered in various departments.
Sister Jane loved nature and people, but was known to be a private person.
