Biography
Sister Helen Dolores was born Helen Marie Losleben on February 15, 1921. She died on September 12, 2017. She was 96 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 78 years.
Sister Helen Dolores entered the Congregation on July 16, 1939.
Sister Helen Dolores ministered as a teacher for 54 years in schools in Illinois, California and Texas. Her first teaching ministry was at St. Elisabeth in Van Nuys, California, in 1942. After “retiring” from teaching, Sister Helen Dolores ministered as a volunteer at the South Central Los Angeles Ministry project. She returned to the Motherhouse in 2002.
She was a founding member of the sisters’ “Breakfast Club,” and “Coffee-Klatch” groups.
