Biography
Sister Francetta was born Agnes Veronica “Bonnie” on Jan. 5, 1919. She died on Feb. 13, 2004. She was 85 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 66 years.
Sister Francetta entered the Congregation on Feb. 2, 1938. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1940 and 1946, respectively.
Sister Francetta ministered initially in elementary education, with her first ministry in Oklahoma. She also ministered as a high school teacher in Indiana and California, and served as principal at Ladywood in Indianapolis and Rivet High School in Vincennes. She also ministered as assistant director of development at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, and as a pastoral associate in Alabama. In 1999, she returned to the Woods.
It was said that Sister Francetta was flexible in her services of love, mercy and justice.
