Biography
Sister Eleanor, formerly Sister Reparata Marie, was born Eleanor Pierce on Aug. 29 1923. She died on Nov. 23, 2013. She was 90 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 71 years.
Sister Eleanor entered the Congregation on July 20, 1942. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1943 and 1945, respectively.
She ministered as a teacher, principal and volunteer in schools in Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Sister Eleanor enjoyed listening to music and challenging her mind with crossword puzzles. She would have told you that her favorite food was “hot French fries.”
