Biography
A native of California, Sister Cecilia, formerly Sister Mary Cecilia, entered the Congregation in 1952 and was a Sister of Providence for 66 years.
Sister Cecilia earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and ministered as a teacher for 41 years in schools in Indiana, Illinois, Maryland and California.
Most of her teaching ministry was spent in California, including three different stints at St. Elizabeth in Van Nuys. She returned home to the Woods in 2002.
