Biography
Sister Anne, formerly Sister Anne Loyola, was born Anne Spottswood Scott on March 2, 1929. She died on Sept. 5, 2011. She was 82 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 64 years.
Sister Anne entered the Congregation on July 20, 1947.
Her teaching ministry began in 1950 at St. Mary, Aurora, Illinois. She taught at other schools in Illinois, as well as classrooms in Indiana, Maryland, California and North Carolina. She also ministered at the Motherhouse as a nurse’s aide, director of health care volunteers, the Goodwin Guest House manager at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and other positions.
Sister Anne had to run away from home in order to join the Congregation.
