Biography
Sister Ann Renee was born Lorraine Anna Maxwell on June 8, 1929. She died on Sept. 6, 2010. She was 81 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 62 years.
Sister Ann Renee entered the Congregation on July 22, 1948. She professed first and final vows on Jan. 23, 1951 and 1956, respectively.
She spent more than two decades ministering in education, including at schools in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri and Indiana. After earning her LPN, Sister Ann Renee ministered in the Infirmary at the Woods. She also ministered for many years at Northwest Hospital, Chicago, and from 1987 to 1997, she ministered at St. Andrew Home and St. Benedict Home, Niles, Ill. She returned to the Woods in 2000.
Sister Ann Renee was known to have a great sense of humor and she loved to tell jokes.
