Biography
Sister Ann Michele was born Catherine Ann Kiefer on Oct. 22, 1930. She died on Sept. 30, 2008. She was 77 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 60 years.
Sister Ann Michele entered the Congregation on Jan. 7, 1948. She professed first and final vows on Aug. 15, 1950 and 1955, respectively.
For 29 years, she ministered in schools in four different states, including several years as an algebra teacher and guidance counselor at Cathedral High School. In 1989, Sister Ann Michele moved to the Woods to become registrar at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College for two years before joining the staff at the Damian Center in Indianapolis for seven years.
Sister Ann Michele was known for her childlike sense of wonder and infectious laugh.
