Biography
Sister Ann Denise was born Ann Dolores Reger on May 5, 1918. She died on March 12, 2013. She was 94 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 76 years.
Sister Ann Denise entered the Congregation on July 16, 1936. She professed final vows on Jan. 23, 1945.
Her first teaching ministries were at the elementary school levels. She also taught for 11 years in fourth-grade classrooms and 19 years as a junior high teacher. She taught at schools in Indiana, Illinois, Washington, D.C., and California. From 1975 to 1993, she ministered through the public school system of Los Angeles as a parent educator, counselor and ESL teacher. She returned home to the Woods in 1998.
Sister Ann Denise was known to be an excellent swimmer and diver.
