Biography
Sister Ann Clare was born Eva Sue Lancaster on Jan. 23, 1919. She died on Aug. 4, 2007. She was 88 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 57 years.
Sister Ann Clare entered the Congregation on Feb. 2, 1950. She professed first and final vows no Aug. 15, 1952 and 1957, respectively.
Sister Ann Clare began her teaching ministry at Holy Cross, Indianapolis, in 1952. She ministered as a teacher or principal in various other Indiana schools as well as classrooms in Illinois and Kentucky. In 1989, she returned to the Woods and ministered in the Central Business Office of the Congregation.
Sister Ann Clare decided to enter the Congregation after visiting the Woods with Alice Tighe and her family to see Sister Marie Kevin Tighe’s (RIP) profession of final vows.
