Biography
Sister Agnese was born Mary Boddington on Oct. 4, 1909. She died Aug. 26, 2005. She was 95 years old and had been a Sister of Providence for 79 years.
Sister Agnese entered the Congregation on Sept. 2, 1925. She professed first vows on March 22, 1928, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1933.
Sister Agnese spent nearly four decades ministering in teaching in elementary schools. In 1966, she began a ministry of education in the Education Department at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She also ministered as manager of the Sisters of Providence Co-op before officially “retiring” in 1995. Then, she volunteered in our transportation department until 2001.
Sister Agnese was the designer of the Boddington Bears helping to raise funds for the college.
