A Mother’s Day Prayer

Mary,
mother of Jesus,
woman of Providence,
you formed your child’s faith
and led him to his destiny.

Living your life
in a real world, as a real woman,
you became a model for all women.

This special day,
as in all the days of my life,
I ask blessings for my mother
and for all women in my life
whose own faith and care
have been a life-long gift to me.
