In time of loss

In this moment of loss, let me draw into myself, O God,
the light of your radiant love.
May it be a fire of renewed energy within me.
that I may rise from the pain and sadness
that now weigh upon my heart.
May it illumine for me the pathway of hope
and a renewed trust in your Providence.
May it shine forth at each dawn
a sign to me or your never-ending care
and compassion.
May it bring me a deep
and lasting peace.
Amen.
