Providence Pavers offer a meaningful Saint Mary-of-the-Woods connection

Published on May 16, 2012

…in person and to visit with friends and former teachers. Gayle and company were delighted to have the opportunity to see each other (coming from Illinois, Indianapolis and southern Indiana) and to visit Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Sister Cathy Buster called “heart and soul” of new migrant farm family community in Arcadia, Fla.

Published on January 28, 2013

As a realist, I don’t often get blown away, but in November 2012, when Sister of Providence Cathy Buster gave me a tour of Casa Juan Bosco in Arcadia, Fla., I experienced that feeling of being with someone who could dream dreams and marshal the resources to make them come true in mega form. The Papal Conclave: March Madness & the Gift of the Holy Spirit

Published on March 6, 2013

So, when one of…

Helen Flavin: “What was I thinking? Do I belong here?”

Published on June 20, 2013

…so at home with the Sisters of Providence; how they had known SPs for years; and how peaceful and special it was to get through the gates at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. I thought again, “Lord is this really where you wish me to be?” Immediately, I remembered my arrival the night before. There was construction and a detour.
