Maintenance Technician
The Sisters of Providence are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional who is a self-starter and capable of handling a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across our campus. This role works under the supervision of the Utility Manager and is essential to the upkeep of our buildings and furnishings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, and control systems.
- Install and maintain cabling for alarm, telecommunications, and CCTV systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various mechanical and electrical systems.
- Conduct general plumbing repairs.
- Repair and install building hardware (doors, locks, windows, etc.).
- Perform renovation projects, including drywall installation, flooring, and cabinetry.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assist other skilled tradespeople as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to operate a variety of powered hand tools and equipment.
- Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
