Love, mercy, justice
The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are a community of vowed Catholic women religious. Inspired by our foundress Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, we are passionate about our lives of prayer, education, service and advocacy.

Teens! Volunteer to make a difference
Brighten the day of an elder Sister of Providence
Calling all middle school and high school students! Volunteer your time and put a smile on the face of an elder.

Youth ages 12-18 years old are invited to sign up for one or more of our Saturday or summer volunteer days throughout the year. Join other teens in sharing your time and talents — crafts, nail painting, music, games, activities and more — with the sisters and health care residents.
Meet wonderful people, have fun and gain valuable volunteer experience. (Several of our wonderful, regular volunteers have received college scholarships in part due to their service with our sisters!)
Our elder sisters, most of whom were former teachers, love to spend time with young people. You really will be bringing joy!
Sign up for one of our many upcoming opportunities by using the links below or scrolling down to the bottom of this page. Or contact Sister Joni Luna at 361-500-9505 or jluna@spsmw.org with any questions you might have.
