Diane Hartman is a Providence Associate. She is a writer and retired librarian. Diane lives in Plainfield, Indiana, with her two rescue dogs.

Light Amid the Darkness
We find comfort in the story of Jesus’s birth — that the Son of God was born, not in luxury, but in a lowly stable, to bring light to the world. But what do we, in this present time, do with this light in the midst of darkness?

Pondering Christ’s birth in our hearts
Mary, though feeling confused and filled with questions, was faithful and obeyed the angel’s instructions. She must have been blindsided by the situation that she was thrust into. But by her faith she was obedient and surrendered to God’s will.
