For 73 years as a Sister of Providence, Sister Ann Kevin heeded the call of Jesus to “Follow me.”

Many recall having their eyes riveted on Mary Loyola as she glided her way gracefully around the sanctuary, one by one lighting the candles for Mass or for Benediction. She always appeared unflustered, calm and steady.

It was in relationships, however, that Michael Ellen excelled

“Jesus came to Jericho and intended to pass through the town. Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man, was seeking…

“She could deal with people who were difficult to deal with. And she worked hard!”

Known for being “tough” and “running a tight ship in the classroom,” Regina is also remembered as having a “softer, compassionate side.”

What I remember about her is her sense of humor, her funny remarks, and her ability to lighten things up

In a way, Joan seemed destined to be here

Sister Margaret was well known for her sound advice on many matters

We celebrate her life of simple, elegant holiness

She valued each person she encountered and treated all with love and respect

I suspect that God greeted her somewhat in this fashion, “Dorothy, welcome home and thank you! Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
