Sustainable farm living and learning

Interns from New Jersey, Texas, Chicago, California, Louisiana, and Indiana are living in community and learning about sustainable agriculture at White Violet Center this summer. Here’s a quick introduction.
Julia Duphiney, of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, is an animation student at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Becca Goodman, of Indianapolis and Sullivan County, IN, is an environmental science sophomore who just transferred from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to Indiana State University.
Elaine Haby, of Hondo, Texas, is a 2017 graduate of Texas A&M University in Kingsville with a degree in animal science pre-vet.
Ezra Kyle Meadors, who began his internships on Nov. 11, has a journalism degree from Brigham Young University and master’s in communications from University of Central Florida will be heading back home to Chicago in early August.
Sasha Pitkofsky, of San Carlos, California, is a recent graduate of New Haven High School in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Alexis Taylor, who grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland, and has lived in Oklahoma, Nebraska and Louisiana, is a small business management and English senior at Southeastern Louisiana University.
May they have a great summer living in community at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods learning about organic gardening, Community Supported Agriculture, farmers’ markets, chickens and eggs, alpacas, running a farm store, and getting to know the Sisters of Providence.
