Peaceful, uplifting Gathering in Solidarity event at the Woods
“Encouraging”, “uplifting” and “positive” were words used to describe the Gathering in Solidarity event held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. The event, coordinated by the women in initial formation with the Congregation, included song, prayer and personal reflections all in support of advancing human rights for all people and practicing empathy to build understanding across differences. More than 200 people from Terre Haute and beyond attended the one-hour event. After days of rain and clouds, the sun broke through and warmed participants on the 60-plus degree day.
