Hoosier Green Light Award

Sisters of Providence General Superior Dawn Tomaszewski, White Violet Center for Eco-Justice Director Lorrie Heber and I attended an energizing and inspiring evening at the Vigo County Public Library last night to celebrate Hoosier solutions to our climate crisis. The event was called the Green Lights Celebration.
White Violet Center was selected as a west-central Hoosier Green Light Award recipient by Sustainable Indiana 2016, an Earth Charter Indiana initiative. Also during the ceremony, White Violet Center was inducted into the Bicentennial Green Legacy Hall of Fame.

Sister Dawn and Lorrie accepted the award presented by John Gibson, Sustainable Indiana 2016 state coordinator.
See the entire list of recipients (White Violet Center is in Region 7) at www.SustainableIndiana2016.org.
Congratulations to the Sisters of Providence, White Violet Center staff, volunteers and interns (current and past) and all who received a Green Light award last night!

Wonderful! (What took them so long?)
Ha! It took a 200 birthday year, I guess, Sister Carol. 🙂 It truly is a time to celebrate!
