New book addresses ‘feminist Christianity’

Diann Neu (left), one of the editors of “New Feminist Christianity: Many Voices, Many Views,” is pictured with one of her companions, Sister Agnes Arvin.

Providence Candidate-Associate Diann Neu, co-director of the Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics and Ritual (WATER) in Silver Spring, Md., and Mary E. Hunt, also a co-director, are editors of the new book, “New Feminist Christianity: Many Voices, Many Views,” published by Skylight Paths Publishing.

The book is a collection of writings by women ministers, theologians, liturgists, artists and activists. According to WATER’s website, these women “speak from across the spectrum, and from the many racial and ethnic groups that make up the Christian community. Taken together, their voices offer a starting point for building new models of church and society.”

To purchase the book, visit www.hers.com/water or call 301-589-2509.

Diann will make her commitment as a Providence Associate on Nov. 13, 2010.
