SUMMARY:Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Providence Food Pantry invites the public to participate in the upcoming “Hunger Bust Fun Run/Walk” to take place at 10 a.m.\, on Saturday\, Sept. 6\, on the grounds of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. \n\n\n\nAll proceeds from the event will benefit Providence Food Pantry\, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Providence. \n\n\n\nSister Emily TeKolste gives a thumbs up.\n\n\n\nRegistration for the race will begin at 9 a.m.\, and conclude at 9:45 a.m.\, with the race beginning at 10 a.m.\, rain or shine. \n\n\n\nCost to take part in the race is $20\, with one T-shirt guaranteed to each pre-registered participant. Early registration must be received by Aug. 24. All T-shirts will be handed out during the event. \n\n\n\nThere are also sponsorships available for those businesses and individuals interested. Cost is $150 per business and $50 for individual sponsorships. Sponsorships need to be received by August 24. \n\n\n\nMake checks for pre-registration payable to Providence Food Pantry/Hunger Bust\, and mail to Providence Food Pantry\, 701 W. National Ave.\, West Terre Haute\, IN\, 47885. Registrations will also be accepted the morning of Hunger Bust. Join us for a guided meditation based in eco-spirituality\, where you connect with the Divine through nature.  \n\n\n\nAs we wander among the trees\, you will have the opportunity to connect with yourself and listen as the forest offers you time to reflect on your life. Leave feeling grounded and calm as you re-enter the world with more clarity and peace. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe events will take place at 10:00 a.m.\, on Saturday\, Sept. 28\, Saturday\, Oct. 26 and Saturday\, Nov. 30\, at the St. Joseph’s Nature Trail at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\nThe trail is a mown path through the forest. It is considered an easy trail with uneven ground and some slight inclines and declines.  \n\n\n\nYou are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and dress according to the weather. This event may be canceled due to weather. We will walk in light rain. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but donations would be welcomed.

Join us for a guided meditation based in eco-spirituality\, where you connect with the Divine through nature.  \n\n\n\nAs we wander among the trees\, you will have the opportunity to connect with yourself and listen as the forest offers you time to reflect on your life. Leave feeling grounded and calm as you re-enter the world with more clarity and peace. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe events will take place at 10:00 a.m.\, on Saturday\, Sept. 28\, Saturday\, Oct. 26 and Saturday\, Nov. 30\, at the St. Joseph’s Nature Trail at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\nThe trail is a mown path through the forest. It is considered an easy trail with uneven ground and some slight inclines and declines.  \n\n\n\nYou are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and dress according to the weather. This event may be canceled due to weather. We will walk in light rain. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but donations would be welcomed.

DESCRIPTION:Are you on a journey of self-discovery or are you seeking an encounter with the Divine? Do you hold questions about the world around you and your connection to it? If you are searching for meaning with your faith in today’s world\, we invite you to discover our series “Mystics and Fellowship.” \n\n\n\nThere are four virtual-only sessions scheduled\, with the first taking place on Saturday\, Oct. 26. The remaining three will take place on Saturday\, Nov. 23\, Saturday\, Feb. 22\, 2025\, and Saturday\, March 29\, 2025. Each session will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur series will focus on a thoughtful question each month: \n\n\n\nOctober: How do I move through the stages of my faith into a more authentic and life-giving sense of belonging and communion with God and others? \n\n\n\nNovember: How do I reconcile with the brokenness and divisions in the local and global communities we live in? \n\n\n\nFebruary: How can I move forward when my daily responsibilities are a burden and despair keeps me from seeing my future? \n\n\n\nMarch: How can I commune with our Creator when the natural world around me is in despair? \n\n\n\nPlease join us as we gather together to share a journey of personal transformation in the company of the ageless wisdom of the mystics. \n\n\n\nCost is $25 per virtual session. All participants are asked to register three days prior to each session.
