Cardmaking with Sheila Donis

Images appear below.

Monday and Tuesday, July 16 and 17, 2012, were definitely hot days at the Woods, but it was nice and cool in the Activity Room in Providence Hall where many Sisters of Providence gathered to make a variety of colorful and artistic cards and bookmarks under the guidance of Providence Associate Sheila Donis.

Sheila, who hails from Jasonville, Ind., is an extremely creative person and decided to share her talents and lots of her equipment and resources to help the sisters create a variety of cards. Sheila was assisted by the very helpful Melissa Pasko, a Providence Associate from Terre Haute, Ind. Sheila hit upon a great idea because the Activity Room was kept abuzz with sisters both days except during Mass and lunch!

Many of the cards that the sisters created included hand-written notes that will be sent to residents residing in Georgetown, Ind., as part of the Providence Self Sufficiency Ministry Inc., a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Providence.

Below are a few images of the day.
