The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are a community of vowed Catholic women religious. Inspired by our foundress Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, we are passionate about our lives of prayer, education, service and advocacy.
Live joyfully! Single, Catholic women ages 18-42 are invited to explore a fulfilling life as a Sister of Providence. All women and men of faith are invited to join the family of Providence as Providence Associates.

Missionary crosses were given to each sister upon her departure for China. This cross was given to Sister Eugene Marie Howard.
Through the years, the sisters in the United States and their students were kept informed of the mission in China by The Bugle Call. The Bugle Call was published by the Journalism Department at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. It continued as a bi-monthly publication through 1958.
Christina worked as the digital media and website manager for Sisters of Providence for 9 years and now serves as the website's designer and consultant through her company, Blustery Day Design. She's a musician, reader, writer and generally curious person.
