The sale will run Saturday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is located in the basement of Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 3647 W North Ave, Chicago.

Quality items for sale will include gently used clothes and shoes, dishes and housewares, appliances, books and toys, bedding, holiday décor, small furniture items and more. Lunch will also be available for purchases.

Sale prices are kept low to be affordable.

All proceeds go to support services to individuals, children and families offered by Providence Family Services to those in and around the west Humboldt Park area. Services include sliding-fee bi-lingual counseling, after-school homework help for children, English-language, citizenship and basic computer education classes.

Donations and volunteers are still being accepted. To donate items or to volunteer, including helping set up the days prior to the sale, contact Sister Patty at 773-235-8264 or pattyfillenwarth@sbcglobal.net
