Retail Manager
Are you a passionate retail leader with an eye for detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building strong relationships? Sisters of Providence are seeking a dedicated Retail Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of both Linden Leaf Gifts and the White Violet Center Farm Store. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue, managing inventory, overseeing staff, and creating a thriving retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop annual business plans aligned with strategic priorities,
- Select merchandise, set competitive pricing, and monitor inventory turns,
- Oversee the online store, ensuring timely product updates, accurate order fulfillment, and insightful sales reports,
- Hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, conducting annual performance reviews,
- Generate comprehensive reports analyzing revenue, expenses, inventory, and buying trends to support budgeting and performance tracking,
- Prepare weekly sales reports and ensure daily cash security with accurate reconciliations,
- Manage relationships with merchant service providers and oversee store maintenance,
- Cultivate long-term relationships with vendors, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, and
- Build strong connections with the local business community, fair trade vendors, local artisans & crafters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retailing, Management, or a related field,
- Minimum 5 years of retail management experience, including point-of-sale systems proficiency,
Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and database software, - Strong business planning and reporting skills,
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities,
- Ability to create visually appealing displays and maximize merchandise impact,
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays,
- Exceptional customer service skills, handling inquiries and complaints with a positive attitude,
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences,
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a commitment to follow-through,
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and
- Valid driver’s license required.
