Clinical Care Support Specialist

Join the Clinical Care team as a Clinical Care Support Specialist, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the health and wellness of Sisters of Providence living outside Providence Healthcare (PHC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct healthcare support, including taking vital signs, basic health assessments, occasional medication administration, and personal care,
- Facilitate medication refills, manage pill planners, and perform occasional wound care,
- Assist with communication between individuals and healthcare providers, discharge planners, and community services,
- Occasionally transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, providing health advocacy as needed,
- Help coordinate ancillary services, such as podiatry, lab work, and audiology,
- Organize and restock medical supplies and equipment, and
- Perform occasional data entry, paperwork, and other clinical or clerical tasks.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience providing healthcare support to individuals in home or care settings, and
- Experience promoting and supporting the physical, mental, and holistic well-being of others.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of healthcare concepts and holistic support needs,
- Comfort working in clinical settings and assisting individuals with diverse health challenges,
- Strong interpersonal skills—empathetic, patient, and understanding,
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and urgent situations,
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google applications,
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and maintaining confidentiality, and
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to travel locally.
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to assist with mobility, including lifting/maneuvering wheelchairs and walkers, and
- Comfort walking throughout buildings and traveling locally for appointments.
