SUMMARY:Taizé Ecumenical Prayer service at the Woods
DESCRIPTION:Taizé Prayer is a simple\, meditative form of worship for all spiritual seekers who would like to dwell deeply in God’s presence around and within us. Songs\, prayerful silence and short readings guide the focus of our prayer in a candle-lit environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach Taizé service includes prayer\, simple music\, a time for silence and inspirational readings. Song refrains are sung many times over as a prayer of the heart. \n\n\n\nJoin us monthly on the second Tuesday in person or via livestream for this hour-long service\, based on a tradition from Taizé\, France. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to participate. \n\n\n\nThe 2026 theme is “Journey Towards Wholeness.” \n\n\n\nCost: Freewill donation

SUMMARY:Snackin' with the Alpacas: All ages Summer Reading Program
DESCRIPTION:Children of all ages\, along with their guardians\, are invited to join White Violet Center for Eco-Justice (WVC) staffers and others this summer for the upcoming “Snackin’ with the Alpacas: All Ages Summer Reading Program.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBring a sack lunch for a picnic near the alpacas while WVC Director of Outreach and Events Tara Elmore\, Farm Projects Assistant Raven Renn and Vigo County Public Library West Branch Assistant Librarian Beth Nelson read some fun alpacas stories. Tara will also offer alpaca fun facts. \n\n\n\nAfter lunch\, all guests will be able to meet some of our alpacas and have a take-home alpaca craft. \n\n\n\nThe series will take place on Wednesday\, June 24\, Wednesday\, July 29\, and Wednesday\, August 26. DESCRIPTION:As our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary\, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) has issued a “Declaration of Commitment\,” highlighting values that continue to shape the mission\, lives and ministries of women religious today. \n\n\n\nSister Joni Luna at prayer\n\n\n\nThe Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, are part of the LCWR and have signed the Declaration of Commitment\, which the LCWR will deliver to Capitol Hill on Thursday\, June 25. \n\n\n\nAs part of this commitment\, all LCWR affiliated congregations have been invited to take part in a one-hour prayer for unity\, commitment to LCWR values and shared witness. \n\n\n\nThe Sisters of Providence are inviting the Providence Community to take part in prayer with them on Thursday\, June 25\, from 1-2 p.m. (The prayer is also available for anyone who cannot pray at this time but would like to participate.) \n\n\n\nJoin us via this link or by clicking below for the one-hour prayer event. \n\n\n\nLCWR Virtual Prayer for June 25: Declaration of Commitment | Videos & Movies on Vimeo

SUMMARY:Alpaca Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Join the staff of White Violet Center for Eco-Justice (WVC)\, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and others as they host the upcoming Alpaca Yoga\, scheduled to take place from 11 a.m.-noon\, on Sunday\, June 28\, Sunday\, July 26\, and Sunday\, August 23. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShannon Hamilton\, Athletic Trainer for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and certified Yoga Instructor at Common Ground in Terre Haute\, will lead this unique experience along with the alpacas in the alpaca pasture. \n\n\n\nParticipants must be 18-years-old or older to take part and space is limited. Please bring your own mat and water bottle. We encourage you to also bring a towel or blanket to place underneath your mat! \n\n\n\nAttendees are asked to arrive at 10:45 a.m.\, and meet at the White Violet Center Farm Store. From there\, you’ll walk to the female alpaca pasture for the one-hour long exercise. \n\n\n\nCost is $15 per person and $5 for students.
