The Sisters of Providence invite you into our mission to create a more just and hope-filled world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us in an experience of finding hope and your own powerful potential in uncertain times. The weekend or day retreat will provide opportunities for you to cultivate hope through time in nature\, creative expression\, contemplation\, community\, sacred spaces\, ritual and talks. \n\n\n\nRetreat facilitators include Sisters Paula Damiano\, Corbin Hannah\, Marie McCarthy\, Mary Montgomery and Rosemary Schmalz. \n\n\n\nThe weekend retreat begins at 6 p.m.\, on Friday\, October 18\, and concludes at 10:30 a.m.\, on Sunday\, October 20. Attendance at Mass and Sunday lunch is optional. \n\n\n\nThe day retreat on Saturday will start at 8:30 a.m. and end around 8 p.m. \n\n\n\nThere are three packages\, including: \n\n\n\n\nWeekend Package 1: Two nights lodging plus five meals and programming ($300)\,\n\n\n\nWeekend Package 2: Commuter for the whole weekend with five meals and programming ($180)\, and\n\n\n\nDay Package 3: Saturday only with two meals and programming ($150).\n\n\n\n\nThe registration deadline is October 13.

Leave feeling grounded and calm as you re-enter the world with more clarity and peace. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe events will take place at 10:00 a.m.\, on Saturday\, Sept. 28\, Saturday\, Oct. 26 and Saturday\, Nov. 30\, at the St. Joseph’s Nature Trail at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\nThe trail is a mown path through the forest. It is considered an easy trail with uneven ground and some slight inclines and declines.  \n\n\n\nYou are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and dress according to the weather. This event may be canceled due to weather. We will walk in light rain. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but donations would be welcomed.

DESCRIPTION:The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and Providence Associates invite persons of all faith traditions to join them in person or virtually for the Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass) at 11:00 a.m.\, on Tuesday\, Nov. 19\, to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Providence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Providence by joining the Congregation and Providence Associates for a special Mass. \n\n\n\nThe liturgy will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, located 10 minutes northeast of downtown Terre Haute. \n\n\n\nDedication to Mary under the title of Our Lady of Providence began with the first shrine dedicated to her in Italy in 1664. In May 1925\, the Sisters of Providence established the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence in the United States. \n\n\n\nIn April 2014\, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence was rededicated in a new location\, the vestibule of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

DESCRIPTION:Nature can teach us and heal us. Join us for a guided meditation based in eco-spirituality\, where you connect with the Divine through nature.  \n\n\n\nAs we wander among the trees\, you will have the opportunity to connect with yourself and listen as the forest offers you time to reflect on your life. Leave feeling grounded and calm as you re-enter the world with more clarity and peace. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe events will take place at 10:00 a.m.\, on Saturday\, Sept. 28\, Saturday\, Oct. 26 and Saturday\, Nov. 30\, at the St. Joseph’s Nature Trail at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\nThe trail is a mown path through the forest. It is considered an easy trail with uneven ground and some slight inclines and declines.  \n\n\n\nYou are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and dress according to the weather. This event may be canceled due to weather. We will walk in light rain. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but donations would be welcomed.

The final session begins at 3:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe registration deadline for the event is November 29.

Join the Providence Community for a new virtual event series from the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin. Give yourself an hour each Monday evening in restful anticipation to meditate on the hope\, peace\, joy and love that the birth of Jesus promises. Leaning toward the Light of Jesus’ birth is especially helpful when our nights become longer in the heart of Winter. \n\n\n\nAdvent Meditations will use music\, imaginative prayer\, Lectio and Visio Divina\, silence and breath meditation from a variety of faith traditions to align our minds\, hearts and spirits on the greatest gift the world has ever known and return our focus to the true root of the Christmas holiday — Jesus.
