DESCRIPTION:Taizé Prayer is a simple\, meditative form of worship for all spiritual seekers who would like to dwell deeply in God’s presence around and within us. Songs\, prayerful silence and short readings guide the focus of our prayer in a candle-lit environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach Taizé service includes prayer\, simple music\, a time for silence and inspirational readings. DESCRIPTION:Nature can teach us and heal us in profound ways. Join us for a guided meditation based on eco-spirituality (connecting with the Divine through nature). As we wander among the trees\, you will have the opportunity to connect with yourself and listen as the forest offers you guidance for your life. Leave feeling grounded and calm as you re-enter the world with more clarity and peace. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe trail is a mown path through the forest. It is considered an easy trail with uneven ground and some slight inclines and declines. You are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and dress accordingly for the weather. This meditation series begins at 10 a.m. EDT and lasts for about an hour. *Please note that this event could be cancelled because of inclement weather. \n\n\n\nAll who register will receive email reminders and updates based on the weather conditions. Registration is recommended but NOT required. These events are free\, but freewill donations are sincerely appreciated.

DESCRIPTION:The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and Providence Associates invite persons of all faith traditions to join them in person or virtually for the Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass) at 11:00 a.m.\, on Wednesday\, Nov. 19\, to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Providence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Providence by joining the Congregation and Providence Associates for a special Mass. \n\n\n\nThe liturgy will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, located 10 minutes northeast of downtown Terre Haute. \n\n\n\nDedication to Mary under the title of Our Lady of Providence began with the first shrine dedicated to her in Italy in 1664. In May 1925\, the Sisters of Providence established the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence in the United States. \n\n\n\nIn April 2014\, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence was rededicated in a new location\, the vestibule of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Celebrate the coming of Christmas with the Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuests of all ages are invited to the Providence Spirituality & Conference Center and Providence Hall for an afternoon full of fun for the whole family including crafts\, storytelling\, face painting\, bake sale\, cake walk and much more. \n\n\n\nThere may even be a visit from Santa himself! \n\n\n\nThe event will take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m.\, on Saturday\, Dec. 13. \n\n\n\nWe welcome a suggested donation of $5/car for this event. \n\n\n\nThe Sisters of Providence need more volunteers for various kids activities Saturday\, December 13th from 1:30 – 4:30 PM.  \n\n\n\nThe volunteer signup sheet is live! Come share your time and talents with our retired Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and health care residents.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVisit with elder sisters and help them with activities such as Bingo\, exercise\, baking\, card making\, attending events and more. Your presence will brighten a sisters’ day! \n\n\n\nMost of our volunteer opportunities are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Teens will gather at 9 a.m. in the lobby of Providence Spirituality and Conference Center at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that allow you to be mobile. Lunch is provided. \n\n\n\nRegistration for each event is one day before.

Your presence will brighten a sisters’ day! \n\n\n\nMost of our volunteer opportunities are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Teens will gather at 9 a.m. in the lobby of Providence Spirituality and Conference Center at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that allow you to be mobile. Lunch is provided. \n\n\n\nRegistration for each event is one day before.

DESCRIPTION:Taizé Prayer is a simple\, meditative form of worship for all spiritual seekers who would like to dwell deeply in God’s presence around and within us. Songs\, prayerful silence and short readings guide the focus of our prayer in a candle-lit environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach Taizé service includes prayer\, simple music\, a time for silence and inspirational readings. Song refrains are sung many times over as a prayer of the heart. \n\n\n\nJoin us monthly on the second Tuesday in person or via livestream for this hour-long service\, based on a tradition from Taizé\, France. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to participate. \n\n\n\nThe 2026 theme is “Journey Towards Wholeness.” \n\n\n\nCost: Freewill donation
