DESCRIPTION:The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and Providence Associates invite persons of all faith traditions to join them in person or virtually for the Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass) at 11 a.m.\, on Friday\, Oct. 3\, to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin\, the eighth American Saint and foundress of the Sisters of Providence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin by joining the Congregation and Providence Associates for a special Mass. \n\n\n\nThe liturgy will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, located about 10 minutes northeast of downtown Terre Haute. \n\n\n\nSaint Mother Theodore Guerin was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct. 15\, 2006. \n\n\n\nClick here to view the livestream of the Mass if you are unable to attend in person.

The virtual and in-person prayer event is a follow-up to the One Family\, One Church gathering the Sisters of Providence participated in on October 22 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception and Clay County Justice Center in Clay County\, Indiana. DESCRIPTION:During this past Advent\, 17 peacemakers led by Catholic Workers from across the country spent time in Palestine-Israel\, hosted by Sabeel\, which is the grassroots ecumenical Palestinian liberation theology movement rooted in the universal ethic of nonviolence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPalestinians are seeking solidarity and a physical presence from faith communities in the United States amidst the U.S.-funded ongoing genocide in Gaza that is spreading to the Occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. \n\n\n\nThis educational driven livestreamed event will begin at 6:15 p.m.\, and conclude at 7:15 p.m.\, followed by a 30-minute question and answer session. DESCRIPTION:Taizé Prayer is a simple\, meditative form of worship for all spiritual seekers who would like to dwell deeply in God’s presence around and within us. Songs\, prayerful silence and short readings guide the focus of our prayer in a candle-lit environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach Taizé service includes prayer\, simple music\, a time for silence and inspirational readings. Song refrains are sung many times over as a prayer of the heart. \n\n\n\nJoin us monthly on the second Tuesday in person or via livestream for this hour-long service\, based on a tradition from Taizé\, France. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to participate. \n\n\n\nThe 2026 theme is “Journey Towards Wholeness.” \n\n\n\nCost: Freewill donation
