DESCRIPTION:The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and Providence Associates invite persons of all faith traditions to join them in person or virtually for the Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass) at 11 a.m.\, on Thursday\, Oct. 3\, to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin\, the eighth American Saint and foundress of the Sisters of Providence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin by joining the Congregation and Providence Associates for a special Mass. \n\n\n\nThe liturgy will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, located about 10 minutes northeast of downtown Terre Haute. \n\n\n\nSaint Mother Theodore Guerin was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct. 15\, 2006. \n\n\n\nWatch online or join us in-person.

DESCRIPTION:The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and Providence Associates invite persons of all faith traditions to join them in person or virtually for the Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass) at 11:00 a.m.\, on Tuesday\, Nov. 19\, to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Providence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Providence by joining the Congregation and Providence Associates for a special Mass. \n\n\n\nThe liturgy will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, located 10 minutes northeast of downtown Terre Haute. \n\n\n\nDedication to Mary under the title of Our Lady of Providence began with the first shrine dedicated to her in Italy in 1664. In May 1925\, the Sisters of Providence established the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence in the United States. \n\n\n\nIn April 2014\, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence was rededicated in a new location\, the vestibule of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Each session will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur series will focus on a thoughtful question each month: \n\n\n\nOctober: How do I move through the stages of my faith into a more authentic and life-giving sense of belonging and communion with God and others? \n\n\n\nNovember: How do I reconcile with the brokenness and divisions in the local and global communities we live in? \n\n\n\nFebruary: How can I move forward when my daily responsibilities are a burden and despair keeps me from seeing my future? \n\n\n\nMarch: How can I commune with our Creator when the natural world around me is in despair? \n\n\n\nPlease join us as we gather together to share a journey of personal transformation in the company of the ageless wisdom of the mystics. \n\n\n\nCost is $25 per virtual session. SUMMARY:Sourdough Bread Baking Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Sourdough breads are a delicious\, nutritional treasure and are easier to make than you may think. Let Candace\, our resident bread-baker\, walk you through the process from the comfort of your own home. Learn sourdough bread-making basics\, tips and tricks for creating and maintaining starters and ideas for how to incorporate sourdough into a variety of other baked goods.  Our in-person class option is now full but we still have spots available for virtual participants. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe workshop includes instruction materials and a sourdough starter. Starters can be picked up in advance at the White Violet Farm Store or shipped to your home for a small fee. \n\n\n\nThis is a demonstration class where participants see the process. In person class is limited to 15 people. \n\n\n\nThe workshop will take place in-person or virtually from 6-8 p.m.\, on Thursday\, February 20. Cost is $50 per person. \n\n\n\nThe registration deadline is February 14.

Each session will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur series will focus on a thoughtful question each month: \n\n\n\nOctober: How do I move through the stages of my faith into a more authentic and life-giving sense of belonging and communion with God and others? \n\n\n\nNovember: How do I reconcile with the brokenness and divisions in the local and global communities we live in? \n\n\n\nFebruary: How can I move forward when my daily responsibilities are a burden and despair keeps me from seeing my future? \n\n\n\nMarch: How can I commune with our Creator when the natural world around me is in despair? \n\n\n\nPlease join us as we gather together to share a journey of personal transformation in the company of the ageless wisdom of the mystics. \n\n\n\nCost is $25 per virtual session. DESCRIPTION:Taizé Prayer is a simple\, meditative form of worship for all spiritual seekers who would like to dwell deeply in God’s presence around and within us. Songs\, prayerful silence and short readings guide the focus of our prayer in a candle-lit environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach Taizé service includes prayer\, simple music\, a time for silence and inspirational readings.
