DESCRIPTION:Is God calling you to be a sister?\n\n\n\nCome and See how the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are living out lives of authentic meaning — centered on God and serving others. \n\n\n\nThis retreat will focus on the question\, “Will you answer God’s call?” We will explore the passage in Matthew 4:19\, “Come follow me and I will make you fishers of persons.” \n\n\n\nExplore if you might be called to life as a Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSingle\, Catholic women ages 18 to 42 are invited to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for a weekend retreat Friday\, March 28 starting at 4 p.m. EST and concluding at 2 p.m. on Sunday\, March 30\, 2025. During this retreat you will have the opportunity to hear several sisters’ stories about their call and their lives today. You will experience how the Sisters of Providence live the call through prayer\, vows\, ministries and community life.  \n\n\n\nYou will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our sacred grounds as you focus on prayer and your own discernment. DESCRIPTION:Would you like to create more peace in your life? There are messages we hear in our culture that suggest if we work harder\, we will produce more and do better. This can make us feel tired and disheartened. We can hear the need for rest if we listen to our bodies. If we listen to our hearts\, we might hear our Creator whisper that we are beloved images of the Divine. How can you listen? Do you need time to daydream\, nap\, walk in nature\, create and pray? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThomas Keating offers that “God’s first language is silence.” A Day for Rest at The Woods is a day retreat of purposeful quiet and contemplation. Participants will have options to join contemplative prayer\, meet with a spiritual director\, spend time alone and rest in many sacred places at The Woods. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $75.00 and includes a private room\, a box lunch and spiritual direction. SUMMARY:Rest and Reflect: An Eco-Spiritual Retreat with Nature
DESCRIPTION:Spending time in nature can benefit our mental\, emotional\, physical and spiritual well-being. It can also help us connect with God. Connecting with the Divine through nature is often referred to as eco-spirituality. When we develop our relationship with our more-than-human kin\, we begin to recognize an interweaving and a Oneness. This gives us an opportunity to remember who we are and our place in this dance of life. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the upcoming “Rest and Reflect: An Eco-Spiritual retreat with Nature\,” scheduled to take place September 26-28. Spend a restful weekend with the beautiful and peaceful land at the Woods. \n\n\n\nThe three-day retreat will include guided sessions in nature as you deeply listen to and connect with the Divine Life within and all around. As we observe the natural world\, we can gain insights into our own lives. Come\, allow the trees\, elements\, and wildlife to companion you as you spend time in gentle reflection. \n\n\n\nTake an opportunity to spend intentional time listening to the Life living in all beings. Guided sessions will assist your ability to ground\, slow down and listen to the wisdom within. Sessions will include forest bathing\, dialoguing with Nature\, connecting with the elements and evening circles around the fire. \n\n\n\nRetreatants will have the option to tent camp (tents will be available)\, stay in a shared cabin or in a private room in Woodhaven. Meals will be provided. Feel free to add in the comment section all dietary needs. \n\n\n\nAll genders are welcome. Retreat House\, shared cabin\, tent camper and commuter prices are available. \n\n\n\nLodging check in is set for Thursday\, September 25\, after 3 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe retreat will begin at 9 a.m.\, Friday\, September 26\, and conclude at 11 a.m.\, September 28. \n\n\n\nCost for a tent camper is $300\, while cost for a shared cabin (which includes a private room and shared bathroom) is $400. Cost for a room in Woodhaven (which includes a private room and bathroom) is $475 and cost for commuters is $250. \n\n\n\nWe want all to have access to retreat spaces. If the cost is prohibitive\, ask about equity prices. Please let us know of any other accommodations you may need in order to participate as fully as possible.

During this retreat you will have the opportunity to hear several sisters’ stories about their call and their lives today. You will experience how the Sisters of Providence live the call through prayer\, vows\, ministries and community life.  \n\n\n\nYou will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our sacred grounds as you focus on prayer and your own discernment. DESCRIPTION:Is God calling you to be a Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana? \n\n\n\nCome and see how the Sisters of Providence are living out their lives of authentic meaning — centered on God and serving others. \n\n\n\nAll single\, Catholic women ages 18-42 are invited to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for this weekend retreat starting at 4 p.m.\, Friday\, October 23\, and concluding at 2 p.m.\, Sunday\, October 25\, 2026. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring the retreat\, you will have the opportunity to hear and experience several sisters’ stories about their call and their lives today. \n\n\n\nYou will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our sacred grounds as you focus on prayer and your own discernment. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is the perfect place to slow down and listen for the voice of God. \n\n\n\nWho are we? What do we do? What can our community offer? \n\n\n\n\nWe practice faithfulness to prayer and total trust in Providence.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe live a legacy of love\, mercy and justice established by our foundress\, Saint Mother Theodore Guerin.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are stewards of land that includes classified forests and organic farmland\, where we have made our home since 1840.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have a long history of standing up for justice.\n\n\n\n\n\nOur ministries respond to current needs: Today\, we serve at the U.S./Mexico border\, teach\, serve in the medical field\, in churches\, in social justice arenas and much more.\n\n\n\n\nExplore how you can be a vital part of the legacy and mission of a saint as a Sister of Providence. \n\n\n\nSign up today using the form below.
