DESCRIPTION:Is God calling you to be a Sister of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana? \n\n\n\nCome and see how the Sisters of Providence are living out their lives of authentic meaning — centered on God and serving others. \n\n\n\nAll single\, Catholic women ages 18-42 are invited to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for this weekend retreat starting at 4 p.m.\, Friday\, October 23\, and concluding at 2 p.m.\, Sunday\, October 25\, 2026. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring the retreat\, you will have the opportunity to hear and experience several sisters’ stories about their call and their lives today. \n\n\n\nYou will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our sacred grounds as you focus on prayer and your own discernment. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is the perfect place to slow down and listen for the voice of God. \n\n\n\nWho are we? What do we do? What can our community offer? \n\n\n\n\nWe practice faithfulness to prayer and total trust in Providence.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe live a legacy of love\, mercy and justice established by our foundress\, Saint Mother Theodore Guerin.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are stewards of land that includes classified forests and organic farmland\, where we have made our home since 1840.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have a long history of standing up for justice.\n\n\n\n\n\nOur ministries respond to current needs: Today\, we serve at the U.S./Mexico border\, teach\, serve in the medical field\, in churches\, in social justice arenas and much more.\n\n\n\n\nExplore how you can be a vital part of the legacy and mission of a saint as a Sister of Providence. \n\n\n\nSign up today using the form below. SUMMARY:Tending to Grief Retreat
DESCRIPTION:What if grief were not something to overcome\, but a sacred invitation to listen more deeply? \n\n\n\nCome rest among the trees and silence with the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, Indiana\, and others during the Tending to Grief Retreat. \n\n\n\nThe retreat begins at 9 a.m.\, on Friday\, November 6\, and concludes at 10 a.m.\, on Sunday\, November 8\, at the Woodhaven Retreat and Guest House at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. \n\n\n\nThrough reflection\, creativity\, embodied practice and ritual\, we will honor what we love\, what we’ve lost and what still longs to flourish. \n\n\n\nGrief is a common response to loss\, change and the realities of witnessing the suffering of our human and more-than-human kin. Join facilitator Sister Corbin Hannah\, SP\, and others during the weekend as you are invited to rest\, reflect and engage grief with curiosity\, creativity and compassion. \n\n\n\nThere will be dedicated time and space for exploring grief in the company of others; learning about the nature of grief and how it affects our lives; guided experiences in nature; creative expression and embodiment practices. \n\n\n\nThere will also be the opportunity for one-on-one sessions with a spiritual director. \n\n\n\nCost to attend is $375 and the registration deadline is Sunday\, November 1. \n\n\n\nAccommodations will be made available beginning at 3 p.m.\, Thursday\, November 5.
