SUMMARY:Alpaca and Friends Open Barn 2026
DESCRIPTION:Looking for something to do on the Saturday after Thanksgiving? \n\n\n\nCome out and meet our alpacas! Bring the whole family or friends for an up-close visit with our herd. Get pictures for your holiday cards. Pick your favorite to adopt for a unique gift! And meet some of our special chickens as well! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe event will take place at the Female Alpaca Barn. Attendees are asked to park at the White Violet Farm Store. \n\n\n\nThere are six 30-minute sessions during the experience\, with the final session starting at 3:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nPlease dress appropriately for the weather. Boots or old shoes are recommended as the pasture can be wet and muddy. \n\n\n\nAfter your experience\, stop in the farm store for some hot chocolate or cider. \n\n\n\nCost to attend is $7 per person. There is no charge for children 3-under. Space is limited. \n\n\n\nRegister online below or by calling 812-535-2946 or emailing mwimsett@spsmw.org.

There’s something for everyone from nature shows and earth-related craft activities for the kids\, to spinning\, weaving and felting demonstrations and visits with the alpacas. \n\n\n\nThe festival will begin at 11 a.m.\, and conclude at 3 p.m.\, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods\, located 10 minutes northwest of downtown Terre Haute\, Indiana. \n\n\n\nStay tuned for more information!
