Learn how to preserve your own veggies and herbs using simple facto-fermentation methods. Participants will learn fermentation basics and principles and make their own garden-fresh sauerkraut-type ferment to take home.

Cost is $25 per person which includes course handout, samples, and a ferment to take home. Please register by June 21.

Note: The Center is home to two cats and although they may not be present for the workshop, if you are highly allergic, please use caution.

Candace Minster is the garden manager and fiber projects coordinator for White Violet Center for Eco-Justice where she has been employed for more than 15 years. Her areas of expertise include organic gardening, worm composting, food preservation (canning, fermentation, pickling),  fiber arts (knitting, spinning and weaving) and fiber processing.
