Speaker: Tommy Kleckner, director of Indiana Landmarks, Western Regional office in Terre Haute. Kleckner holds a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in historic preservation from Ball State University, Muncie. Indiana Landmarks is a statewide nonprofit historic preservation organization, the largest of its kind in the country. Kleckner has overseen historic preservation and heritage conservation services in a 17-county region of western Indiana since 2002.

The Woodland Inn is a beautiful example of Queen Anne style architecture, with its Doric columns, while Corbe House is a fine example of Italianate architecture. Both buildings were built by architects Bohlen & Son for the Sisters of Providence, and are now listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Come enjoy the beautiful details of each property and hear a few stories that help bring each house alive.

Meet beside the fountain.
