Dementia is a syndrome, usually of a chronic or progressive nature, caused by a variety of brain illnesses that affect memory, thinking, behavior and ability to perform everyday activities. Although dementia mainly affects older people it is not a normal part of aging. Learn about dementia in this three-session series. Awareness and advocacy is key.

Katie Harich, MA, CPC, is the Well-Being Coordinator for the Sisters of Providence. She is a licensed Wellness Educator, a Dementia Education Trainer, and a Certified Professional Life Coach.
