How do you visualize the Divine? Our perception of God colors how we view our world. Members of the Providence community: Providence Associates, candidate-associates and Sisters of Providence are invited to join us for the Providence Community spring retreat: Imago Dei – Images of God. Sisters of Providence Jan Craven and Paula Damiano will lead us as we explore various images of God. These images will include the feminine images in Scripture and the reflections of Catherine of Siena, Joan of Arc, Meister Eckhart and Mahatma Gandhi. You will be invited to explore your image of God based on your cultural tradition. How do different images expand our understanding about God?

Our time together will include prayer, reflection and sharing. We suggest that you bring a journal to capture your thoughts or to draw an image that inflames your imagination. The campus will be available for you to enjoy as you refresh your spirit.

Attendance options

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have space for 50 participants to join us in person in the community room in Providence Hall. This attendance option costs $65 and includes meals. See housing options below.

You also have the option to attend virtually. The cost for attending the retreat sessions virtually by livestream is $25.

Register for either attendance option using the form at the bottom of this page.

Please note: Given the unpredictability of the Covid virus, we may need to go to an all-virtual format. We will keep you informed if this change needs to be made.
