What connection does Mother Theodore have with a person drowning in the Wabash River in 1845? Was Mother Theodore ever accused of using “counterfeit” money? There are many “little known facts” about our foundress saint and the Sisters of Providence Community that are very interesting. Come and satisfy your curious mind with us!

Sister Jan Craven, SP, is director of the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence. She is co-director of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center. She holds master’s degrees in spirituality and in the philosophy of religion and theology. She is a former teacher, director of religious education, pastoral associate, provincial councilor and tribunal advocate as well as the former director of postulants at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
