Art for the Soul Retreat

NOTE: Due to the new restricted guidelines offered from the CDC, Art for the Soul is canceled.

Open yourself to the Spirit through playful art. There will be guided art exercises integrated with prayer. You will explore, as if on a journey, how you see your world, yourself and those you love.  Absolutely no art skill is required. The emphasis will not be on end products, but on the process of being freely creative. The weekend will conclude with our famous Sunday Brunch at the Woods.

Cost: $250 includes meals, lodging, all art supplies. $150
without lodging.
Register by May 28 with lodging or June 4 without lodging.

Sister Jan Craven, SP

Sister Jan Craven, SP, is director of the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence. She is co-director of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center. She holds master’s degrees in spirituality and in the philosophy of religion and theology. She is a former teacher, director of religious education, pastoral associate, provincial councilor and tribunal advocate as well as the former director of postulants at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

Sister Paula Damiano, SP

Sister Paula Damiano, SP, is co-director of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center and has led retreats and workshops on a variety of spiritual topics in the United States and in Canada, Europe and Asia. She has a special interest in combining art and music in retreat work. She has a bachelor’s degree in art education, a master’s degree in spirituality from Fordham University and a certificate in business executive management. Sister Paula is the former high school teacher, diocesan vocation director, Congregation vocation director, associate pastor and provincial councilor, also served as a Sisters of Providence General Officer for 10 years.
