Sourdough Bread Baking Workshop

Join Candace Minster to learn how to make sourdough breads from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.

Sourdough breads are a delicious, nutritional treasure and are easier to make than you may think. Learn bread-making basics, tips and tricks for creating and maintaining starters, and ideas for how to incorporate sourdough into a variety of other baked goods in this hands-on class.

CandaceMinster4-13lowresCandace Minster is the garden manager and fiber projects coordinator at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice where she has been employed for more than 10 years. Her areas of expertise include organic gardening, worm composting, food preservation (canning, fermentation, pickling), beekeeping, fiber arts (knitting, spinning and weaving) and fiber processing. Candace is a passionate advocate for developing sustainable and just local food systems and an avid baker.
