Partners in our mission
The Sisters of Providence consider as partners in our life and mission those individuals who share the unique spirit and gift of Providence. These partners say “yes” to God’s action in their lives and sense that they are somehow co-creators with God in bringing about a loving, merciful and just world. They do this through prayer, education, service, advocacy and financial support in whatever circumstances of life they find themselves.
Some partners have a more intentional relationship as Providence Associates and make a formal commitment which they renew for a year initially and then periodically, if and as they wish.
Giving of your time is another way to partner with us through Volunteer Services. At Saint-Mary- of-the- Woods and elsewhere volunteers serve i administrative departments and sponsored ministries and institutions. These volunteers serve as receptionists, tour guides, carpenters, visitors, tutors, companions and drivers and in countless other capacities where time, talents and skills are shared.
Still others partners share financial resources and/or gifts-in- kind. Ways to give
Because our work depends on God’s Providence we welcome as partners in our life and mission those who pray for us and the needs of our sponsored institutions and ministries, our staff members, Providence Associates, volunteers and our financial benefactors.

The party was going strong, but Marianne was not there! I inquired and was told that she was out in the courtyard. Were we ever surprised and pleased that just at that moment Marianne was being presented with a pocket watch belonging to her aunt, Sister of Providence Marion Celeste Bisch. Continue reading
Let’s face it: few among us enjoy getting gussied up on a warm Saturday evening for an indoor schmooze-fest. But our annual Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Dinner is no ordinary party! More than 220 donors joined the Sisters of Providence for an evening of love and laughs at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods on Saturday, May 31. Visitors took long-necked peeks down dusty hallways of the under-construction Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and were some of the first to see the front entrance of Providence Spirituality and Conference Center after a construction wall was removed.
