Sisters of Providence announce 2024 Christmas prayer and service times
The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, have announced the schedule of Advent/Christmas season Masses and services to celebrate and honor the birth of Jesus.
All services are open to the public and to people of all faith traditions. All gatherings will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Times for all services are Eastern Standard Time.

Mass on Sundays of Advent will be at 11 a.m., on the following dates: Dec. 8, 15 and 22.
In addition, plan to join the Sisters of Providence for the free virtual program, Advent Meditations, taking place from 7-8 p.m., on Dec. 9, 16 and 23.
Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will take place on Monday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m.
On Tuesday, Dec. 24, the Sisters of Providence will observe a candlelight vigil service with readings and song at the Church of the Immaculate Conception beginning at 7 p.m.
Christmas Day Mass will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 11 a.m.
Mass for the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, will take place at 11 a.m., on Jan. 1, 2025, and Mass for the Epiphany of the Lord will take place on Jan. 5, 2025, also at 11 a.m.
The First Taizé Prayer gathering of the new year is scheduled for 7-8 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025.
