Teens invited to volunteer with Sisters of Providence

Calling all teens! Calling all teens! Plan on volunteering with the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana this summer.

Come out to the Woods and join the sisters and health care residents at Providence Health Care in crafts, activities, conversation and more.

Summer volunteer sessions run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., on June 6-8 and June 12-14. All are encouraged to sign up for one day or all six.

“It is a lot of fun. And at the same time, our teen volunteers receive valuable life experience and learn from the wisdom of our residents,” Teen Volunteer Coordinator Sister Joni Luna said.

Volunteer Pia Carino added, “It gives me a sense of joy to be able to bring a little bit of happiness to these sisters. It is meaningful since these sisters were the foundations and builders of this community I call home.”

Register or learn more here or contact Sister Joni Luna at 361-500-9505 or jluna@spsmw.org.
